Make Sure You Never Miss an Issue
Email providers like Gmail and Outlook sometimes filter newsletters into spam or promotions folders — even ones you want to read. Here’s how to make sure The Italian Muse always lands safely in your inbox.
The magic address to add to your contacts:
Just add that email to your address book, and your inbox will treat it like a trusted friend. Below are step-by-step instructions for the most common email providers.
Gmail (they spam oh so much)
Gmail often sorts newsletters into the Promotions tab. Here’s how to fix that:
If you’ve already received an email from me:
- Open any email from The Italian Muse
- Tap or click my name/email at the top of the message
- Select “Add to contacts”
- (Bonus) Drag the email from the Promotions tab into your Primary inbox — Gmail will ask if you want to do this for all future emails. Say yes!
If you haven’t received one yet:
- Open Google Contacts (contacts.google.com)
- Click “Create contact”
- Add theitalianmuse@asansevero.com and save
Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
- Open an email from me
- Tap my email address at the top of the message
- Tap “Add to Contacts” or “Create New Contact”
Outlook / Hotmail / Live
- Open an email from me
- Right-click my name (or tap it on mobile)
- Select “Add to Outlook Contacts”
- Save
Yahoo Mail
- Open an email from me
- Hover over my name at the top
- Click “Add to Contacts”
If my email landed in spam, click “Not Spam” first — this is the most important step!
Other Email Providers
The steps are similar: open an email from theitalianmuse@asansevero.com, click or tap the sender name, and look for an option like “Add to contacts” or “Add sender to address book.”
If you want to be absolutely sure…
Reply to my next email with a quick “Hi!” or even a question you want answered. Email providers treat anyone you’ve replied to as a trusted sender, which is the single most effective way to guarantee my emails reach you.
