Don’t quit. Seriously. It is the only way you are guaranteed to fail. Check out this fantastic article by David Hankins on resilience.
Learn
LEARN YOUR CRAFT! Are you getting rejections? Every writer does, even those with multiple best sellers. You can limit those rejections, however by improving. Study those who write the type of books you love and want to write themselves. Study your craft. I have some great books for writers listed on this page.
Practice
Nothing will help your writing more than actual writing. Write every day no matter how tired you are, even if you can only do one paragraph.
Test Your Progress
Entering writing competitions are a great way to gauge your progress. Only enter competitions that don’t have a fee. If you write fantasy or Science fiction, I HIGHLY recommend you enter Writers and Illustrators of the Future.
